Unlike other business intelligence (BI) or reporting tools, Monarch easily "mines" data from existing text-based reports - an information source typically ignored by other solutions. Monarch V9 Professional ("Monarch Pro") also enables users to mine, combine and analyze data from PDF files, database files, spreadsheets, OLE DB/ODBC sources, delimited text, and HTML files.
 
Instead of printing and re-keying data from a complex Trial Balance report, or replicating the same data using a BI tool, Monarch is used to visually "mine" the data from the report without programming. Monarch then displays mined data as a live data table, for easy sorting, filtering, new calculations, etc. The data can also be summarized with subtotals, graphs, coloring, etc. Data can be exported to MS Excel, Access or other applications at any time.
Once Monarch has mined desired data from reports, PDFs and other sources, end users can then easily analyze the data, including sorting and filtering data; creating new calculated fields; summarizing data with subtotals and grand totals and automatic graphs; and, at any time, export data to MS Excel, Access, and a wide variety of other file formats. Monarch integrates enterprise data with the MS Office environment with no programming, no need for live access to enterprise databases, and no need for IT help.
